Summary |
the theorem of pythagoras is an equation connecting the longest side of a right-angled triangle (called the hypotenuse) with the other two sides. it can be used to find the length of one side of a right-angled triangle given the other two sides. trigonometry is concerned with the measurement and calculation of the lengths of sides and the sizes of angles of triangles. there are three basic trigonometric ratios called the sine, the cosine and the tangent of the angle. |
