areas bounded or enclosed by the graph of a function, the x-axis and vertical lines can be found by integration. they can also be found by other approximate numerical methods. the trapezium rule divides the required area into a series of trapeziums. the areas of these trapeziums are then summed to find the total area. the trapezium rule is a formula used to speed up this process. |
